今（27）日的 Google 首頁很不一樣，你發現了嗎？原來今年可是 Google 自 1998 年誕生後的第 19 年，為了慶祝 19 歲生日，Google 特別在首頁告知大家這件事，更推出藏有 19 個小驚喜的幸運轉盤來跟大家同樂！
說到 Google 的出現，最早應該要從西元 1995 年說起，當時谷哥的兩位創辦人 Larry Page 與 Sergey Brin 都在史丹佛大學（Stanfo國內外親子旅遊rd University）就讀，起初認識時兩人意見雖完全不合，卻在隔年建立合作關係，並在宿舍房間內開發出一個能利用連結判斷個別網頁在全球資訊網上的重要性的搜尋引擎，並將其命名為「Backrub」，之後才改名為 Google，據悉 Google 這名字是改拼自某個數學運算式，之所以選用它則是因它能正確反映出 Larry 與 Sergey 的使命：「匯整全球資訊，供大眾使用，使人人受惠。」

Google 的出現不只吸引學術圈、更引起矽谷投資者興趣，在 1998 年 8 月，Sun 的聯合創辦人 Andy Bechtolsheim 給了 Larry 和 Sergey 一張 10 萬美元的支票，從此 Google 公司也就正式成立，並在今年邁入第 19 年。
